If you select student pricing- Please bring your student ID with you. Failure to do so will result in a $5 fee.
If you select volunteering- you will be required to work 1 4-hour shift on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.
There will be no refunds for any reason. Participants may defer their entry to another TriAdventure event or to this race in 2019. Deferral deadline is April 25th, 2018. Thank you for your understanding.
Registration & Check-In:
Early packet pick-up is 5:00pm-6:30pm at Blacksburg Community Center/Rec center: 725 Patrick Henry Drive, Blacksburg, VA.
Packet pick-up is 7:30-10:00 a.m. the day-of the race at Claytor Lake State Park. When you arrive at the "Y" at bottom of the hill in the park, follow the signs.
You can expect at least cold water, sand, mud, climbing, crawling, and much more...Show up to discover what awaits you.
Groups of 20 will be going off 8 minutes apart. Wave selection happens during registration, first come first serve.

All finishers receive finisher medals. Please pick these up before leaving the finish area, they are not mailed.
Awards will be given to: Top 3 male overall, Top 3 female overall Awards, Top 5 teams
One approximately 1.5 miles into the race
If you wish to purchase event photos a link will be sent out via email, usually within a week after the event. Event photos will be available on the TriAdventure Facebook Page approximately one-month after the race.
Post Race Meal:
Hotdogs, chips, soft drinks, and cookies
From I-81, take Exit 101 (Claytor Lake) to State Park Road (State Route 660)
There will be plenty of places along the course to watch your friends, families and other racers pass by. The finish area offers several obstacles and great viewing. Please do not impede the movement of athletes on the course.
The weather in late April- early May is usually warm and sunny with temperatures in the 70's. Be prepared for anything however as wind and rain can change the temperatures drastically.
